On busy week nights I am always searching for something quick and easy for supper. I plan by looking through things we already have on hand and are simple to throw together.
A few weeks ago I was at our local market and they had chicken breasts and bacon on sale, so I stocked up knowing we would definitely use them! I was meal planning when we went in, and although they weren’t in my plans, you can never have too much chicken or bacon in my book.
Bacon Wrapped Chicken Breasts
Flavorful chicken breasts wrapped in crisp bacon. I like to serve this with veggies and rice or mashed potatoes. Simple to make and throw in the oven!
- 5 Chicken Breasts
- 1 pkg Bacon
- 1/2 tsp Italian Seasoning
- 1/2 tsp Black Pepper
- 1/2-1 tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Paprika
- 1 tsp Onion Powder
- 1 tsp Garlic Powder
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Mix together Italian seasoning, black pepper, salt, paprika, onion powder and garlic powder.
Sprinkle mixture over tops of chicken breasts.
Wrap one or two pieces of bacon, depending on size, around each chicken breast.
Sprinkle any remaining seasonings over bacon wrapped chicken breasts.
Bake for 30 minutes, or until chicken breasts are done.
*While that bakes, I fried up the remaining bacon and used it in green beans.
To crisp up the bacon, place in the leftover bacon grease if you fry the remaining bacon.
You can also broil for a few minutes.
