Every Sunday after church, my family and I love to have pancakes to start off a new week on a positive and tasty note! However, having the same flavor week in and week out can get a little…. bland. So we have scoured the internet and are on a quest to find the best and tastiest pancake and French toast recipes we cannot live without! I love to tweak recipes to our own tastes and needs, so I will be sharing them all with all of you! This happens to be one of my personal favorites! I hope you enjoy too!
Strawberry "Cheesecake" French Toast
Love french toast, but need a twist? This is a delicious alternative to traditional french toast!
- 1 Loaf Brioche Bread find my recipe below
- 4 Large Eggs
- 1 C Milk can use Almond but will change texture slightly
- 1 Tsp Vanilla Extract
- 1 Tsp Cinnamon
- 10 Oz Strawberry Greek Yogurt can use regular yogurt
- 1 batch Strawberry Sauce find my recipe below
If you choose to do homemade strawberry sauce, dice and/or prepare strawberries before cooking french toast.
If you prepared it beforehand or choose to use store bought, warm it up on the stove to desired temperature on low to medium heat. Should only take a few minutes.
Set yogurt out ahead of preparing french toast to bring close to room temperature. If not, it may separate when placed on hot french toast.
Slice bread to desired thickness (if not previously sliced)
Warm griddle to around 350 degrees or pan to medium heat.
Whisk together eggs and milk. Then add vanilla and cinnamon.
Place prepared french toast on griddle and cook for 2-4 minutes, just until golden. Flip and repeat.
Assemble with french toast, then yogurt, add another french toast and top with strawberry sauce! Enjoy!
