Chicken Fried Steak

Smother it in gravy and serve with a side of mashed potatoes. Is it healthy? Probably not, but is it delicious? ABSOLUTELY! It really doesn't get much better than cube steak fried in bacon grease, so stop waiting and start frying!

  • 1 ½ C. Flour
  • 2 tsp. Black Pepper
  • 2 tsp. Salt
  • ½ tsp. Paprika
  • 1 tsp. Onion Powder
  • 1 tsp. Garlic Powder
  • ½ tsp. Baking Powder
  • 1 ½ C. Milk
  • 2 Eggs
  • Splash Siracha to taste


  • Mix all dry ingredients in one tray or plate for dipping.
  • Mix all wet ingredients in a separate tray or plate.
  • Pat cube steaks dry and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Dredge in flour first, then egg mix and back in flour. Let rest.
  • Heat large pan and preheat oven to 250 degrees.
  • Cook one or two at a time, depending on size. Each side should take 3-4 minutes. Do not flip too much or batter won't stick.
  • Place on baking sheet when finished and keep warm in low heated oven.
  • When all are finished you can use the pan drippings to make country gravy.
