General Planners
Ascension Press Planner – Out of Stock
Let’s kick off this list with my personal favorite and the one our family has used the last couple of years! I LOVE everything about this planner. It is FULL of all things Catholic and has helped our family live more liturgically each month. If you can’t tell, this one is obviously Catholic so if you aren’t this may not be the best choice for your family! (**At the time of writing this it is currently Out of Stock, but I will do my best to keep an eye on it and post an update if they make more!**)
PROS: Catholic created planner, filled out with all the feast days, holy days of obligation, liturgical seasons, prayers, notes, journaling, and too much to mention! I also love that it’s got hourly breakdowns in the weekly sections. All the things I loved from EC can be found in this planner, but they made it Catholic!
CONS: If you’re not Catholic, obviously this isn’t for you… This can be a pro or con but it is fairly large since it is FULL of information and space. (roughly 10″x11″ and 1 1/2″ thick). It is kind of pricey like EC at around $40 but with all the info. inside, you get your moneys worth! I would also love for it to have a pen holder, but honestly that’s just nitpicking.
Erin Condren
They have planners for all sorts of needs. I am a HUGE fan of their Life Planners and had used them up until I found a Catholic planner that is similar. They also have other general options so scroll around their site and find what suits you! (We’ll be talking about them again in the Themed Planners section!)
PROS: High quality, customizable (themes, colors, layout, etc.), different covers & sizes (binders – A5, softbound A5 or 8″x10″, coiled – A5 or 7″x9″) and all in one type (weekly, monthly, yearly, journaling, & more). There is a combination that would check every box you can imagine!
CONS: Cost. If you aren’t looking to spend $40 – $80 on a planner, these aren’t for you. But I can promise, if you intend to use it every day and fill it with all the information, it is worth every penny!
GoGirl from Amazon
When I realized I needed something affordable to start keep myself organized, I found the GoGirl Weekly and Hourly Planners. These are relatively customizable as well and are undated. If you find yourself enjoying these planners you can purchase a few while they are on sale and stash them for years to come (or give them out as gifts!).
PROS: Undated so you can start with any month and purchase multiple on sale. They come in a variety of colors to match your style. Included in these planners: habit tracking, notes area, to-do lists, and more! They pack lots of great uses in to an A5 and Compact sizes. Cost! These are much cheaper at around $17-$25 per planner. Includes some cute stickers to add some flair!
CONS: Not as customizable or personal as Erin Condren. This could be a pro if you aren’t looking for all the bells and whistles and want a simpler version. It’s all about perspective!
Raising Bakers Digital Planner
For those who love electronic planners but also customization, we created something I hope you’d love! This is incredibly simple, undated and can be added to or made into whatever you need. In the future I hope to add to it or create more digital content. Let us know your thoughts on it in the comments! Since this is one I created, I won’t give you a pros and cons. I will let you decide for yourself! I am a paper and pencil type of gal as well so I don’t use digital too often. *this is a FREE download so if you intend to share it with others, please direct them to the link itself. Sharing is the best way to promote our blog.
You can also find more detailed, customized and various other options on places like Etsy if you are into the digital planners. I created this one for fun and am by no means a pro at designing digital content (yet!).
Homeschool Planners
Homeschool Life Press Planner on Amazon
Keep the family on schedule with this homeschool planner. This is so much more than just a lesson planner, you can keep track of all things homeschooling for multiple kids with this book! I used this planner for our first two years of homeschooling before creating one myself.
PROS: it is undated and great for one or multiple kids, contains monthly breakdowns, enough space for 7 subject weekly lesson planner. It also contains sections for the following: goals, curricula, attendance, budgeting, reading, passwords, and more! Journal anything important for the year or next. It is packed full of useful pages for all the things! COST! $13!! Can’t be that for all of the pages and sections included.
CONS: Honestly for me, there weren’t any that I can think of! I just wanted to create something more personalized for our family. I used this one as a big inspiration for what I wanted out of a homeschool planner.
Erin Condren – Homeschool Planner
I was not joking with how much I love Erin Condren and all they create… (and I do NOT get paid to promote EC, I just genuinely love the care and detail they put in to their craft!) I have not personally used their homeschool planner because it is relatively new and I had already began creating mine when they released theirs. But their’s is worth sharing anyways! As always, you can build your own by choosing the cover, coil cover and any personalization.
PROS: Undated monthly, weekly and yearly calendars included. Page for monthly focuses, field trips, etc. Keep track of family goals and state requirements. Also contains undated 7 subject lesson planning.
CONS: Like any EC Planner they are a little pricey, but you get what you pay for. These are about $50 each. But They have sales periodically so make sure to check them out!
Raising Bakers Printable Planner
Again, this is one I created and poured my heart into. I combined all the things I love from the two above and added things that benefited our family’s needs. This is completely free! If you choose to download it or share it with others, please direct them to our blog. Also, no pros and cons because well… obviously! ha.
Themed Planners
*I won’t be doing pros and cons for this section due to them being for a variety of purposes. Click the links, check them out and see if you like them!
Homesteading – Old Fashioned on Purpose Planner
Jill Winger has thought of it all and combined it in this awesome homesteading planner. You can keep track of EVERYTHING from gardening, livestock, housekeeping, projects, daily notes, groceries… You name it she thought of it. I found her podcast called Old Fashioned on Purpose (strongly suggest you take a listen!) For more information, check out her blog post here about her planner. She goes into detail on how to use it and all the amazing parts of it!
Gardening – House of Hawthornes Garden Planner
Last year my husband and I decided we were going to start doing our garden from seeds. So I scoured Pinterest finding out all the information I could on timing, seeding, transplanting, etc. I stumbled upon House of Hawthornes Garden Planner and it made it simple and easy to keep everything running smoothly, and not forget anything! Pam came up with things that had never even crossed my mind so I wanted to pass this along to all of you! This link will take you right to her post all about her incredible planner. Make sure to check it out!
Health & Wellness – Clever Fox Wellness on Amazon
Track things like workouts, meals and weight loss with this compact planner. I purchased the pocket size (4″x7″) for $16, but it’s also available in A5 for $29. There are multiple color options available also! Set and crush weight loss goals, track water intake and macros too. Accomplish your goals by tracking and journaling your journey to a healthier you!
Finance – Erin Condren A5 Budget Planner
All of your financial needs can be tracked and stored in this compact planner. It is an A5 coil bound book filled with quality pages to keep you on track of spending, budgeting and paying down debt! As with all their planners it is customizable and the pages are blank in all the right places to fit any budget or home.
Overview
This was just some of the many planners I have come across and enjoyed using. There are HUNDREDS more out there and dozens of different themes. I hope this list of my personal favorites helps you find what your family needs or gives you some ideas on where to start your search. I will do my best to continuously update this with more links and favorites I find throughout the years (or any new ones I create)! Do you have a favorite that isn’t on the list? If so, let me know in the comments!
